Our Village
Life in our community
Mountain View Village offers a peaceful park-like setting with roses, cherry blossoms and immaculate lawns.
A range of facilities and indoor/outdoor recreational activities ensure a varied and social lifestyle. The John Stubbs Community Centre is the hub of the village where events are enjoyed by all residents.
Villas and Units
Our villas and units have all been individually designed and built with convenience and privacy in mind. Generous room sizes, easy access, designer kitchens and functional bathrooms were given top priority during design.
Garages are generous in size with internal access to the dwelling and all fitted with automatic door opening devices.
Perimeter fencing and cameras provide protection and security.
Activities
Many recreational activities and interests are pursued by residents at Mountain View Village such as petanque, indoor and outdoor bowls, mini golf, table tennis and keep fit classes.
There is a workshop available for those with practical skills. Residents wanting something more relaxing can enjoy a game of cards or a movie on the big screen. Trips to see a show and group travel also occur from time to time.
Seating is provided for those who enjoy a stroll through the native garden, rhododendron dell or woodland walkway. Take time to view the mountains and smell the roses.
Residents tend their own gardens around their villas and can enjoy growing vegetables in one of the garden allotments.
How we are organised
The Village was started by a group of community minded individuals with a desire to establish a Retirement Village specifically designed for people either retired or approaching retirement who are still active, wanting to retain their independence, yet have the company of like minded people around them.
The Village is operated by a Charitable Trust where the focus is on welfare of residents and includes two elected residents representatives. Trust members are from all walks of life and have a wealth of experience and knowledge in both vocation and business.
A support person is employed at the village to assist residents with extra care or if needed, discuss personal issues that may arise from time to time.
